Lanling shop primers consist of five verities that contain or not contain zinc powder. The technical specifications of these coatings meet the specified requirement in National Standard GB/T6764-1986. They have been certificated by China Register of Shipping and Lloyd's Register of Shipping. The service life of these coatings can last for 6-12 months.
The ship bottom coatings is used at the ship bottom or areas below waterline, which consists of bitumen based and oil modified bitumen based conventional antirust coatings, and chlorinated rubber based and epoxy bitumen based high performance ship bottom anti rust coatings. The examples are L01-17 coal tar paint, L44-8 bitumen silver primer, L44-82 bitumen primer, which are prepared based on cost effective coal tar as binder, mixed with antirust pigments. The J53-11 chlorinated rubber silver antirust paint, J53-12 chlorinated rubber red iron antirust paint, and J53-14 chlorinated rubber bitumen antirust paint are the latest growing coatings product for ship building industry in the world, which consist of chlorinated rubber resin, coal tar, antirust pigments, and plasticizer. It provides excellent water permeation resistance, good adhesion, easy application, and long service life and has been concerned by more and more applications in ship builders and ship owners.
Antifouling paint is a special functional paint that is applied on the bottom of ships or other underwater facilities., which leaches the toxic ingredient in paint film through diffusion or hydrolysis to prevent the sea organs adhere onto ship bottom or underwater facilities. Its types include dissolved ones, contact ones, and self-polishing ones. The typical product of dissolved type is L40-36 bitumen antifouling paint. the contact type product is J40-64 chlorinated rubber long effective antifouling paint and J40-65 chlorinated rubber high temperature long effective antifouling paint, which is the most commonly used conventional antifouling paints containing various effective toxicants. The self-polishing type product is the 9402 Tin-free self-polishing and long effective antifouling paint, which can renew the coatings film automatically within the valid time to keep the coatings film active and smoothness reducing the friction between film and water and save the energy.
The waterlines of ships, offshore oil drilling platforms and steel piles at deep water are always working at wet/dry condition, and cause more chances to form the oxygen concentration difference cell leading corrosion. At the dry condition the coatings film always exposed to sunlight and scratch by cables or ship contacts. Therefore, the paint at the waterline area is mostly corroded. The J41-11 chlorinated rubber waterline paint is based on chlorinated rubber as binder and features fast dry, good adhesion, tough and abrasion resistance, wet/dry resistance, good recoatability and easy maintenance.
The ship hull paint is applied on ship hulls or the superstructures of ffshore oil drilling platforms, where are exposed to highly changeable marine climate, salt fog, and water vapor attacks. The typical products include C43-11 alkyd resin ship hull paint, which is suitable for superstructures, J43-11 chlorinated rubber-based ship hull paint. They all show good water resistance and good weatherability.
The deck paints are required to feature good resistance to water and sunlight, good adhesion on primers, and good abrasion resistance and washability. The typical products include: F42-31 phenolic deck paint and J42-33 chlorinated rubber deck paint, which show properties of fast dry, tough film, good adhesion and resistance to water and chemicals. H42-32 epoxy (slip proof) deck paint, which is a long effective paint, with H06-1-1 epoxy zinc-rich primer and H53-6 epoxy micaceous iron oxide intercoat, shows good vapor permeation and abrasion resistance. Incorporation of slip resistant material in H42-32 epoxy deck paint will formulate high performance slip resistant deck paint.
C04-42 spar paint consists of alkyd resin, pigments, and fillers. It features hard film, good adhesion, brilliant colors, and salt fog resistance.
a) Paint for ballast tanks
b) Paint for Drinking Water Chamber. The Lanling H55-8 epoxy drinking water tank paint has good adhesion, mechanical property, water resistance, and oil resistance. Besides, it is non-toxic and has no influence on quality of drinking water, and has been approved by the Ministry of Health.
c) Paint for Finished Oil Tanks
H54-32 is for l inings of finished oil tanks. It shows good water and oil resistance and no negative effect on quality of stored oils.
d) Paints for Fuel Oils and Lubricants Tanks
E54-1 petroleum resin solution can provide temporarily protection for tanks of fuels and lubricants and can be dissolved in oils, but it shows no negative effect on quality of oils and blocking of the pipes or oil pump nozzles.
